Our son started at MTEAM 10 years ago. We have watched him grow up in the MTEAM family, learning from the older fencers, and then as he got older, taking a more leadership role, helping the younger fencers. The sense of family is very evident in MTEAM, parents helping each other and older fencers helping the younger ones. That philosophy comes from Greg, Vivian and the wonderful coaches.
Although MTEAM is the top competitive foil fencing club in the US, all the coaches care deeply about each and every fencer. MTEAM is a place where good results are celebrated, but the well being of the child comes first. It does take a village to raise a child, and we are so happy we are part of MTEAM. Our son is now at college, but he goes back to practice when he can, and he will always feel at home at the club.NeeChu Mei, parent

Our daughter has been fencing with the MTeam for over 8 years. We have not only been thrilled with her results but also with the life lessons she has learned. Greg is not only an outstanding coach but he also emphasizes good sportsmanship and team spirit. MTeam families are friendly, welcoming and supportive. The coaches each have something different to offer and really care about the kids.

My son is learning important lessons on and off the fencing strip that he'll be able to carry with him well into adulthood. I can't imagine a better place for him to learn those than in the MTEAM environment - with its top-notch coaches and close network of families, he has incredible support. I feel so fortunate that he's growing up as part of the MTEAM!

But really, the beach is the icing on the cake. We are thankful to be part of MTeam – fantastic club, outstanding fencers, awesome coaches – Greg, Vivian, Cole, Dean, James, Darwin, Lenny, all are incredibly caring and motivating, always advising fencers to do better. As a parent, it’s a pleasure to spend my Friday evenings (or any evening, for that matter) at the club, soak up the positive energy, watch good fencing, boys and girls, older and younger, taller and shorter, all great kids. They manage to mix in the socializing, video game discussions, where’s the next best food place, all having a great time. Friendship. Fencing. Fabulous.
